Has the Sacramento Sheriff’s Dept. Become a Partner
with Planned Parenthood?
August 3, 2010 at
the Planned Parenthood clinic on Watt Ave. in North Highlands, five
uniformed Sacramento Co. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call placed by
the above (red shirt) Bayer security official who represents Planned
Parenthood at the Watt Ave. location. On arrival, one of the deputies
demanded identification from Bud and the three other sidewalk counselors
at the location. The deputy demanding our ID’s declined to advise us of
any complaint by telling us that a “lieutenant will be coming out to
advise you.” On arrival the lieutenant refused to talk to us, so at this
point, five, count them, five deputies who spent 30 to 40 minutes
conferring with the PP director and security official, refused to tell us
what if anything we had done wrong. After our ID’s were returned to each
of us, including John (seen above), we were served with a written trespass
warning of arrest by the above pictured Bayer/PP security official. The
written warnings bore each of our personal identifying information which
could have only been provided by one or more of the deputies.
